The DCS will assist the Dean in communicating with
Students and Faculty. The Website will have two views one for students (the
external) and a different for Faculty and staff (the internal). The external view will be accessible by Pace
University faculty, staff, and students.
The internal one will be accessible by faculty and staff to add, remove,
edit, and run queries on the database where the items are stored.
The Website will prompt a login screen. Pace faculty, staff and student have to
enter their ID and password. Permission
to enter the internal system will be granted to faculty and staff whose
information is stored in the system.
The internal system will allow them to enter, remove, edit communication
items, or run queries on communication items already stored. Faculty and staff will have the choice to
post the items to be accessible by all.
A check box is used for the view by all function. Items will be stored by category under a
specific title. The external system
will be accessible by all and it will assist the Dean in communicating with
faculty, staff, and students at Pace University.
